It's a Win
I purchased these for our vacation home, which was already outfitted with Windsor style solid oak dining chairs. Those chairs are 20 years old and solid as a rock. I was hoping these bar stools would be a match. But I was afraid they might be rickety and cheap. It is just the opposite -- they are terrific, very solid and supportive. I am 235 pounds and never feel that they are tipsy or breakable. Putting the base on the seat can be a bit challenging for those with less than nimble fingers, but if you read the instructions and work slowly you will succeed. The swiveling action is just right. These stools look like they will be good for at least 20 years.

great looking barstools
I ordered two of the winsome wood barstools to place in my kitchen. They look really great and I am very happy with them. The only negative comment I have is that they were difficult to assemble, basically because the seats swivel and getting them lined up and attached was not easy even for my husband who is very strong. I have oak cabinets and woodwork in my kitchen and the finish on the barstools is a very good match with oak. Overall, I would recommend these barstools to anyone looking for a quality product at a reasonable price.

looks great but,,poor swivel unit
I was looking for a stool the would be used for daily meals,,so it had to be a sturdy unit.The design and appearance caught my eye and met my criteria,,but the construction was not what I thought it would be. The wood used is quality and the finish is too but the hardware such as the swivel unit is not. The stool rocks as it swivels,, even though it is not supposed to. The swivel unit is flimsey and should be upgraded. The appearance is quality but the swivel is flimsey.

We bought three stools. two were shipped from the same place together and the third from someplace else (all "by amazon"). The third stool is of obvious lower quality. The swivel has far fewer bearings and the color and construction is different and low quality. The two that shipped together are stunning! Very high quality both in color and construction, including high end swivel mechanism. Too bad all three couldnt have been shipped together.

Stylish, Sturdy and easy to Assemble.
I ordered 2 (received 4 stools). Was not paying close attention. The description said "2-Piece" so I thought it came in 2 pieces. Description should read "2 stools." Nevertheless, they are very affordable with cushy seats and excellent support for heavier people. I absolutely love them. The 4 are lined up in a row. 2 are counter height and two are bar height. They add light to the room. I highly recommend them.

Don't last
We ordered three of these stools to use in our game room. After about 6 months of very infrequent use, they are all wobbly. The finish on the wood looked very cheap. Think of a $15 pressed wood book shelf from a big box retailer and that is about the quality you are getting with this stool. I didn't expect a lot at the price point of this item, but I have been pretty disappointed.

Missing hardware for one stool and after repeated email, phone calls, no hardware replacement. really frustrating, there is no person to fix the problem, all you get is an email saying the email was received!

Works Well Too Pricey
I like this table set, it is good for casual use. At $399 I would have expected something much heavier. Looks good and gets compliments but I dont know if it will make it 2 years. Bar table = drunk people, drunk people = stumbling and falling, stumbling and falling into this table set = $399 in the trash. Beef it up and I will buy more of these

Very elegant looking chairs
These bar chairs are very beautiful with the curved oval long chrome legs. The seats are padded and firm -- not soft -- but fairly comfortable, the chairs are very solidly built and expensive looking. The design is beautiful and the best I found in any price range. One very attractive feature is that the legs are elongated oval shaped heavy chrome tubes that must be custom formed just for these chairs, not the cheap thin round standard steel tubes they just bend for other furniture as is generally used, and it adds a more solid presence to the chair that would not be there with round tubes. That is especially important with the long legs of the bar chairs. I also bought the arm dining chairs and the side chairs for the dining table. Overall they are very attractive and a great bargain. PS One thing that would really improve these chairs is to change the rubber/plastic slides on the bottom of the legs as they do not slide easily -- but I cured that by adding the Waxman super slides and...

Item needs more product information
There are several things that people need to know about these stools before purchasing them: 1) the seat rotates. 2) although the seat appears well cushioned, it is VERY firm. Almost like sitting on a wooden seat. 3) Probably because of the rotating mechanism in the seat, each stool is very heavy. More so that I expected for a stool that size. Overall though, it's easy to put together, and if you can get past the idiosyncrasies listed above, a solid, sturdy pair of stools.

Amazing quality!!
These stools look expensive. The legs are thick and the cushion is wide . I love the rivets. They are actual rivets! They do have a floral pattern etched on the rivets that you cannot see on the online pics but It just adds more character to the stools. I love it!!
This was my 3rd try ordering stools from Amazon. The 1st brand Mintra, was back ordered. I then ordered the Boraam Cathedral back stools. I returned the Boraam stools because there were not actual rivets on the cushion but a plastic trim that suppose to look like rivets. The rivets were the color of taupe too ( like a mushroom). You can tell it was plastic! The Boraam stools looked horrible!
These Coaster stools are amazing and you get 2 for this price. If your thinking about buying them, you won't be disappointed. A fantastic buy!

Look nice and seem sturdy
They look really nice assembled in our kitchen. They seem very sturdy (time will tell) and all legs are level with the floor, i.e., no rocking. One complaint is that the precision of the manufacturing is not as good as it could be. some of the parts had to be slightly forced to fit. But, in the end they did. The instructions are also very minimal. More assembly pictures would have been nice. One suggestion when assembling is to NOT tighten any of the leg screws (there are 16) until all of the screws are in and the chair is loosely assembled.

Overall, for the price, these are great counter height stools.

comfy and sturdy
Each bar stool took about 45 minutes to assemble. They are comfortable and sturdy. We had guests over the holidays who mentioned how much they liked the stools. We put felt pads on the bottom of the legs since they will primarily be on wood floors, and these worked great.

Great stools!
These stools look great, were well packaged and easy to put together. And a great price to boot! I chose these stools because the style and color match my dining room table perfectly. Also, since they are very shallow, I can push them under the counter and they stay out of the way. Our previous stools were more like chairs with backs, and they took up a lot of room and we were constantly shifting them to get by. (They were also too short for our bar-height counter, but that is another story...)

As one reviewer previously mentioned, when you are unpacking the contents of the box, be sure to look for the red dots on the legs. The legs of the stool are packaged two together - both legs with red dots are in the same bag. The red dots ensure that the holes for the cross bars are facing the right way. Great stools
We ordered these stools and did not know what we were getting for such a low price but we were surprised that they are such great stools. These are as good as any stools in the stores.Very well made and our 4 year old loves to sit on them while he eats at our pass through. I would buy these again.
Warning!
I bought three of these stools in the summer of 2011 for use by teachers daily in classrooms. All 3 stools started to come loose immediately -- the pauwlonia wood is very soft, and the legs have to be retightened every few days or so. My colleague was also sitting on his this past week and put his foot on the cross bar, which snapped in half! If you care about durability, I suggest the "Winsome Wood 30-Inch Dubliner Bar Stool - Set of 2" instead. I have had two of those at home for the last four years and have used them extensively -- they are still in great shape, and cost less!!!

Family of four loves these!
We've had these for 3 months so far (bought 2 sets) and they are the best thing in the kitchen, when they are in the kitchen, as they get dragged all over the house. These stools are so versatile! I didn't want a big hunk of a barstool taking up all the walking space in my kitchen, and these can be lowered enough to fit under the kitchen table. So if you have an extra guest at the table, you can use them for that, or at the counter, you can raise them for that. The constant silent game in our house is I like the height set somewhere in the middle, so I am constantly lowering them, but the kids think they are a great ride so every time they see them lowered they "ride" them back up, which keeps us all busy. They are sharp looking and clean up easily. When you wash the bottom you just have to be sure to dry it so there are no water spots on the chrome. They are surprisingly comfortable with that tiny backrest giving you just what you need. My lower back bothers me sitting for...

Good looks and an excellent value for the money
I rarely order "bolt together" furniture, but the cost of a similar looking set at my usual furniture store (offering 'underprices') was nearly double, so I took a chance and ordered this 5-pce contemporary dining set to replace a traditional-style oak set. A day or 2 after order placement, I received a call to confirm my order and provide delivery details. The set arrived on time (within 7-10 days of order). After carefully removing each piece from the double box and impact foam it was packed in, I noticed a couple of minor blemishes caused by movement during shipping. Fortunately, the blemishes are in places that aren't noticeable after assembly. The set is made entirely of furniture-grade hardwood (no cheap particle board) and the parts bolt or screw together. Assembly took me 2 hours at a relaxed pace. All hardware (nuts, bolts & washers) and an Allen wrench is included. I just completed assembly of the table and chairs. I am mad; mad for paying way too much (4x's as much) for the last table I had! The quality is excellent. The assembly is easy and just takes a little time with the chairs. There are two lengths of screws for those other reviewers complaining they are too long for the seat- use the short ones on the seat! I spent years as a finish carpenter and can assure you this is well worth the money and will last until you decide to change decor.
Great Table and Chairs
Love the table and the chairs, it is perfect height to keep my curious dog from getting anything off of it. There was one little scuff but we put it against the wall and you couldn't notice it unless you were searching for something, which probably happened from the shipping. It was great for the price and was pretty easy to put together, I would recommend it. We didn't want to spend alot just in case something happened to it, we could replace it without being mad, but so far so good. The colors are also very nice and the cushion on the chair is padded nicely.
