Good quality but with some flawsFirst of all if this was matching description then it would get all five stars from me. I was surprized how well it was packaged to avoid damage by Shipping&"mis"Handling people. Assembly was easy, but here come snags:
If you specify black and offer extra stools then make sure the product is black. The extra stool was really black, but the set could be considered black by color blind people only. It is dark cherry as if someone put too much thinner to the black paint and wood made it it redish color. The color... we liked it this way, but then you should not offer it as black.
Also one of sides was split on arrival so I had to use Gorilla glue to correct this. Also manufacturer should quality control elements as one did not have holes to mount leg. As I did not feel like using table with three mounted legs only and being a bit crafty man with driller I made those missing holes. It would be nice however to use those hex keys sent with the package only...
Great Set!I recently moved into a very small apartment...this set is just perfect,just what I was looking for. I love it! It has the drop-leaves,so I pull them up and have extra table for guests. The stools are very comfortable and the best thing is the extra storage( bigger than it looks in the picture) that I need!The counter height adds some dimension, and I love the color.
However, I was fortunate to have someone to put it together..and fix it. One stool's leg came broken..and the storage compartment needed fixed,also. Nothing major...not enough to send it back...Other than that, this is a great set!
Satisfied customer!I admit, I was concerned, after reading the other reviews about what I might actually receive but I couldn't be happier! The set is a nice, dark black and is slightly higher than my counter, but only by an inch or so. Putting it together took about two hours - I wasn't rushing and didn't take any breaks to let the dog out or anything. My only issues: you will need a phillips screwdriver (a small one - it isn't provided) and I needed a slightly larger allen wrench to complete the stools (the screws for the stools became slightly stripped and having an allen wrench one size larger enabled me to finish both stools up with no problem. The larger allen wrench isn't provided. Aside from those tiny things - putting everything together was a snap! It looks wonderful in my tiny kitchen - the two stools fit under the table perfectly (without raising either drop leaf). The storage underneath is small (maybe enough to hold a blender and coffee maker - it's not very big) and it's enclosed...
