Impressive Chairs
These chairs are great! I bought them for a christmas gift for my daughter.

The construction appears to be very sound, although as of yet I have not assembled the chairs. I have taken one set out of the box and all looks great. The price is fantastic, the seat cushions would have been just fine for myself, but the younger generation like's colors that pop. My solution, I went and spent under $5.00 on fabric and re-covered the seat cushions. A very simple change for a modern look! I can't assemble the chairs until later this month, but even my very picky husband is impressed with the quality of these chairs. I would have given them a 5 star reading but the assembly directions could use some improvement. This is my only and minor complaint.

I also must add that for myself I have bought several products via Amazon and not once have I run into one problem. This can't be said about some other online buying sites. These chairs are just beautiful and I think...

Nice chairs!
We ordered two sets of these chairs for our son's first house - I was a bit nervous ordering furniture on line (first time) but the chairs are great! Well made, easy to assemble, and look great! They were well packaged, the instructions were clear, and they arrived on time.
Dissatisfied
While I was originally happy with these chairs, after 3 months the chairs are proving to be very cheaply made and are cracking. I contacted the company and was told "Sorry to hear that, our warranty is only cover for 90 days", their exact words. Don't waste your money on these chairs!!!

Perfect Small Modern Console
I had a hard time looking for a small, modern console for my entryway. Most of the consoles I found were huge. When I saw that this console was 36" W, I HAD to get it, and I'm so happy that I did. The item is as pictured. It's not the best quality but worth the money. It's not as sturdy as I would like but it looks nice in the living room. If you want a high quality item, this is not it. However, if you need something inexpensive that looks good, buy it. Delivery was great!

Very elegant looking chairs
These bar chairs are very beautiful with the curved oval long chrome legs. The seats are padded and firm -- not soft -- but fairly comfortable, the chairs are very solidly built and expensive looking. The design is beautiful and the best I found in any price range. One very attractive feature is that the legs are elongated oval shaped heavy chrome tubes that must be custom formed just for these chairs, not the cheap thin round standard steel tubes they just bend for other furniture as is generally used, and it adds a more solid presence to the chair that would not be there with round tubes. That is especially important with the long legs of the bar chairs. I also bought the arm dining chairs and the side chairs for the dining table. Overall they are very attractive and a great bargain. PS One thing that would really improve these chairs is to change the rubber/plastic slides on the bottom of the legs as they do not slide easily -- but I cured that by adding the Waxman super slides and...

What a disappointment!
Quality of this item was awful. The pieces did not fit together properly and the woodwork/lacquer quality is terrible. The extension leaf was damaged at the fold, lacquer was chipped/damaged. This item was a total disappointment, especially given the price. We expected a much better quality.

Bar Table is Better then Expected
I was very pleasantly surprised with my recent purchase of the Bar Table-Contemporary Style Finish. Although the package was difficult to handle-given the size, I was pleased to learn of the extra effort around packaging that kept the table being damgaged. The assembly for the table was relatively easy and took less than 20 minutes. The final product is impressive. The table is more substantial and sturdier than I expected. It also has a very clean, atrractive finish to it. The table is welcomed addition to my small one-bedroom apartment and fits well with the existing bar stools I have though they are of a different wood finish. I would highly recommend this product to other potential buyers.

You'd never know it was a pre-fab
This table and chair set is gorgeous. It looks good in the photos, but looks better in person. The finish is a really dark brown, almost black in certain lights, but catches light and shows variation. It's sturdy, easy to assemble, and doesn't wobble, creak, groan, or damage easily. The chairs are gorgeous too and are more comfy and sturdy than other assembled chairs I have seen in person. I really don't think anyone would be disappointed with the quality of chairs or table. My only possible complaint is that the instructions could be clearer (everything is crammed into one step, so I made 3 mistakes before realizing at the end.)

Very nice looking silky finish. First table shipped was damaged, but the company quickly sent a replacement table. Easy to put together. This table set has a removable center leaf so it can be converted to a smaller circle table if necessary or to save space.

Love This
I've had this table a few years now and it's still in great shape. I get lots of compliments on it when people come over. It's the perfect size for my condo and has comfy chairs. Only a few things to be aware of: 1) Because it's so dark you can easily see the smudges, dust, & streaks on it, so it needs to be wiped down frequently. 2) The wood itself is kind of soft so be careful about scratches; I've already given it a few little battle wounds from dragging stuff across the top of it.

Very good, but photo is a bit misleading
I've been looking at various reproductions for a while now, and since other products from this firm were well reviewed, I decided to take one for the team (possibly) and report back.

As noted, the photo is somewhat misleading, as it appears to be of an actual Knoll table, or one of the Italian reproductions. The key is that graceful narrowing as the stem approaches the base, and this Lexington table does not have that; also, the "foot" of the base is a bit chunkier. However, it is far, far better than the stovepipe appearance of the Ikea and CB2 offerings. It won't be noticeable in service, so I am satisfied.

Attachment of the tabletop to the base isn't quite as elegant, either; here, we have four exposed nuts and threaded studs. Again, they're down underneath and won't be seen by anyone that isn't looking for them. I intend to find some white plastic caps to smooth over their appearance.

It looks nice, just don't look too closely for minor imperfections
The table arrived promptly after ordering it, and although well wrapped for the transit, both boxes showed signs of damage incurred during shipping. Upon opening them, the base was badly cracked at the very bottom, and the table top was also scuffed in 3 different spots in a row along the edge. I took pictures, notified the company, and was promptly delivered a second table. This one survived transit much better, the table top had a single tiny scuff spot along the edge, but I can deal with it. I suspect this type of minor damage is a nearly unavoidable product of the packing/shipping.

The table is listed as having an aluminum base. While the core of the base may very well be aluminum or some other metal, the outer shell is fiber glass mesh with a lacquer coating baked on. I know this from the cracked one, I could see the construction where the shell was cracked off.

I highly recommend this table, I am completely satisfied with the way it looks and connects table top to base. I purchased it to use on my balcony and it is so heavy and perfect for such use. The price is perfect, it arrived QUICKLY, shipping charge was reasonable considering how fast it arrived. I would do it again if I have a need for another table.

Looks nice, easy to assemble, comfortable, narrow chairs
The two chairs look as nice assembled as they do in the picture.

Package includes everything you need for assembly except a phillips head screwdriver. Assembly took about 15 minutes in total. Chairs seem sturdy when assembled. All parts included, and the items were well packaged / arrived without any damage.

We use these around a breakfast table that usually seats 4 people but could seat 6. We bought two of them as a trial because they are narrow and would allow for 6 chairs to be placed around the table but still looked comfortable. We will order four more because they exceeded our expectations in comfort and looks.

So disappointing!
I have wanted one of the ghost chairs for so long and couldn't afford one. So I finally decided to buy a reproduction because according to the reviews they were nice.
I received my first order and was so angry about how scratched it was. Amazon sent me a second chair.
I received my second chair and it was very disappointing again. The chair was not protected enough, the arms rub against the side of the box and were scratched and dull again. There was sticker residue on some spot and another sticker placed right on the acrylic. And there were scratches on the chair in places where it had been wrapped in bubble wrap.
Whether or not it is Philippe Starck, you expect a brand new chair to come unscratched. When I took the chair out of the box, my husband asked me if I bought a used one? It didn't even look new.
My mother has the real version of the chair and it is definitely not as nice. THE CHAIR IS STILL WAY OVER PRICED.

retro table
Table arrived on time in damaged package. Dent in table chrome on one side but we decided to keep it. No packing slip in box. No hardware arrived to assemble it. Took several weeks and lots of communication to get it. Seller finally promised tracking number and shipped it UPS. We did not receive a tracking number. Missed one delivery, but UPS delivered the next time and left it at door.

Inexpensive chairs, but inexpensive materials. Still, hard to pass up.
I ordered a pair of these chairs in mid-May when they were priced at $369. I was disappointed to see that one had broke during shipping, due probably to the poor packaging. That may have been a blessing though, since the price declined to $280-something a week later. Amazon handled the return efficiently and all is well. I did not re-order as I felt the quality of appearance was not quite good enough for my standards. The chairs are made of ash and stained to what I would call medium brown (the pictures look darker than the ones I received). I think there were too many pieces glued together to form the arc of the back (also not really visible in the pics). Overall fit, finish and materials were OK, but not great. For the price of about $140 each, they are probably worth it. I ended up ordering NuevoLiving "Saal"chairs for more than twice the $$$'s, and although they were constructed of nicer materials (walnut with leather seats), ultimately I was underwhelmed by the fact that were...

Beautiful Repros!
I just received my chairs yesterday and I could not be more pleased. They came fully assembled except for the seat, which is so easy to attach. They look beautiful and very mid century, a friend came over and right away thought they were vintage. They feel sturdy and look very high quality. This is also is the best price I have found and the shipping was very reasonable and fast!

Was a little worried about buying chairs sight unseen, but these are GREAT!! All real wood w/ suede cushions. They look fantastic. They're also really comfortable and very sturdy. I'm 6"3' 200 lbs and these support me just fine, even when I lean back on 2 legs... although that's probably not the best idea. Assembly was pretty easy, but took me longer than others have said because I did it alone.

Shipping took a little longer than expected, but it all got here, so no complaints.

These chairs look nice but the quality is sketchy--beware!
I ordered two sets of these chairs. They arrived on time and were packaged well. The first set went together just fine and took about an hour to assemble (breaking through the packaging was a challenge!!). The bottoms of the legs do not have any protection so if you have a wood or tile floor, buy felt coasters and glue them on the bottoms of the legs. This is what we did and the chairs move around on the wood floor perfectly and without damaging it. However, the second set of chairs each had one leg that was too short, causing a significant wobble in each chair. I had to glue two felt coasters on the bottom of one of the legs and three on the other in order to keep the chairs stable. Although there is still a very minor wobble, it is bearable because we really like the chairs. They are comfortable and look good with the table for which they were purchased. They also appeared to be sturdy, but looks were deceiving!

Beautiful AND confortable, too!
These chairs are really beautiful for the cost. I ordered eight of them and put them together without assistance, which was time consuming but easy given the fact that all parts and pieces were included in the boxes and all chair parts arrived in good condition. Once assembled, these chairs are quite pretty and comfortable, providing good lower back support. They are lightweight and fit easily into my dining room, which is not the roomiest area in the house. I am well pleased with these chairs and would purchase additional in the future.
