Each chair has a solid wood frame including a gently curved back with medium wood stain resembling walnut. The seat is padded with dense foam and finished off with soft faux leather in black. Also included are opaque plastic non-marking feet for additional stability and for added protection of sensitive flooring. This chair is sold as a set of two, and assembly is required.

Inexpensive chairs, but inexpensive materials. Still, hard to pass up.
I ordered a pair of these chairs in mid-May when they were priced at $369. I was disappointed to see that one had broke during shipping, due probably to the poor packaging. That may have been a blessing though, since the price declined to $280-something a week later. Amazon handled the return efficiently and all is well. I did not re-order as I felt the quality of appearance was not quite good enough for my standards. The chairs are made of ash and stained to what I would call medium brown (the pictures look darker than the ones I received). I think there were too many pieces glued together to form the arc of the back (also not really visible in the pics). Overall fit, finish and materials were OK, but not great. For the price of about $140 each, they are probably worth it. I ended up ordering NuevoLiving "Saal"chairs for more than twice the $$$'s, and although they were constructed of nicer materials (walnut with leather seats), ultimately I was underwhelmed by the fact that were...

Nice
Arrived quickly and were very easy to put together. They are surprisingly comfortable. The black "fabric" will not be mistaken for leather but it still looks pretty good. Very recommended. Bought 6
Beautiful Repros!
I just received my chairs yesterday and I could not be more pleased. They came fully assembled except for the seat, which is so easy to attach. They look beautiful and very mid century, a friend came over and right away thought they were vintage. They feel sturdy and look very high quality. This is also is the best price I have found and the shipping was very reasonable and fast!
